USN medal bar group & much more, Desert Storm, Kuwait, etc.  This impressive medal bar and other items came out of a wrecked display case that a friend turned up at a storage sale.  The case was totaled so I removed what was still in it.  The bar includes thirteen medals from a career Navy CPO with 25 years service in Naval Aviation, mostly on carriers.  Decorations and medals are Joint Services Commendation, Navy Commendation (2 stars), Navy Achievement (3 stars), Navy Good Conduct w/silver star, Navy Expeditionary, National Defense (star), Armed Forces Expeditionary Service, Desert Storm (star), War on Terrorism Expeditionary medal, War on Terrorism Service medal, Liberation of Kuwait medal, Rifleman Marksman medal, and Pistol Marksman medal.  All nicely mounted on bars, and in EXC condition overall.  Also nice Air Warfare wings (V-21-N hallmark), ribbon bar for MUC's & other unit awards, CPO collar device pair, and two large brass plaques engraved with details of his service.  One lists his service which started in 1981, and he retired in 2005.  The other lists all his awards (as on the medal bar, and additional ones), and duty stations.  His cruises were onboard the USS Forrestal, USS Eisenhower, USS Washington, USS Stennis, and USS Vinson.  (Couldn't get clear photos of plaques due to flare).  At first I was afraid the vets name would be unknown, but mixed in some odds and ends from same sale was one of those old aluminum ID tags you used to be able to get made at fairs, amusement parks, etc. back in the 1940-60's (have one of my own that's identical that my father got for me in 1965), it's in the shape of a sheriff's badge, and this one is named to 'Robert Glathart, Age 8', which would be the correct vintage and I'm fairly sure these are his medals.  Glad I was able to rescue these from oblivion, and now they need a good home.  I'm the same age he was, and have no one to leave my collection too.
